T-Bone Days

The first weekend in August we went to Audubon for T-Bone Days.  Casey's class reunion was Friday night but we were unable to make it... so he was able to catch up with people during the day Saturday. It was raining pretty hard before we left home so we were hoping for nicer weather there for the festivities....and it was SUNNY SKIES when we arrived!!  Mr. B had so much fun and Gramma B enjoyed having him there to show off to EVERYONE in town!!

Day on the farm

In June, I had a day off during the week so Mr. B and I headed North to see his grandparents and visit the animals. Highlight of his day besides all the M&M's Grandpa kept giving him.... was DRIVING the tractor.

Another big part of the day....the first time his seat faced forward in Mommy's car. I was going to wait until his second birthday but I guess exactly 23 months is close enough and he was SO EXCITED to be able to look out the windows better!!

On Sunday Mr. B and I took a day trip to see my Grandparents in Cedar Falls. He was so excited to get to their house that he didn't even want to get a shake or fries from McDonald's. B Man and my grandpa have a very special relationship. It warms my heart that he only wants to spend his time with his Grandpa Grandpa....playing ball or even just sitting to watch a basketball game. He did let Grandma Great (his new name for her this time) read him a book though and also ate a lot of her candy. We enjoyed seeing Grandma Great and Grandpa Grandpa and can't wait to go back in about a month!!

 We left about 3 pm....little man was in need of a nap and before we got to Highway 20 he was OUT!!  All was going well on the trip home until I got to the interstate to head south, an hour from our starting point and about an hour to our final destination, I remembered... I DIDN'T GRAB OUR WINTER COATS!!!!  Knowing that the weather was to going to REAL COLD in the next couple of days it was important to get them back sooner rather than later. Many phone calls and different plans later...Monday my brother and sister-in-law came to my work with our coats.

Having a chat with Santa

Once again we went to Bass. Pro. Shop to see the "real" Santa....even if the Big Guys are different the background is still the same.  When we arrived there was quite a few in front of us so B and Casey went to look at the fish while I waited near The Winter Wonderland. B Man was excited to ride the carousel but had to put it on hold until after he saw SC.  We were telling B that he was going to have his picture taken with Santa and he asked in a questioning voice pointing to himself  "ME?...ME AND SANTA PICTURE?!?" He just needed to know the plan....he TOTALLY takes after his mother in that aspect!!

He climbed up in his lap and proudly told him he wanted a yellow bicycle. We have NO IDEA where that came from...so we hope the Cars tricycle he is getting with do the job!! When the employees went to take his picture he was dancing around, sticking out his tongue and just plain being goofy.  As soon as they snapped the it I said you were to sitting nice for the photo, he proceeded to put his hands in his lap and say cheese....what can I say... HE IS ALL BOY!!

This is so AWESOME!!!

 When we were on the way out I told B he was lucky he told Santa what he wanted already because his behavior after would DEFINITELY get him on the NAUGHTY LIST!!!

Valentine's Week!!

I'm all about the cute/funny saying shirts so this holiday week he had one for everyday! At first The Wee one was NOT interested in having his picture taken but with some bribery encouragement with "tic tocs" he came around to the idea. B Man then started holding his arms out and shouting CHEESE...TOO FUNNY!!! Doing the required task in his own unique style. He "helped" decorate his box for Valentine's Day. His Daddy thought B could do the job on his own before I was ready....YOU DO NOT WANT TO SEE OUR FLOORS NOW!!  His assignment turned out pretty cool and he was so proud of the end result.

Daddy wants to sleep longer, B why don't you watch Jake! 

Anything that we want him to do, can be accomplished with a promise of an episode of Jake and the Neverland Pirates. SOOO...he may or may not have been with me when all of this was purchased AND again he may or may not have talked me into buying more then what was originally planned for him this year. 

IT IS NOT EASY TO TELL THAT ADORABLE FACE NO...especially when he asked so politely!!

Casey got a card and some goodies and I received a card, flowers, chocolates, and a DATE NIGHT on Saturday!!  You know just in case someone was worried that the adults didn't get anything this year.
